YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Student artwork from across the region was honored this morning at Youngstown State University as part of the northeastern Ohio scholastic art awards exhibition.
It’s the largest and most comprehensive student art competition in the country. Saturday morning, some top contenders in the Valley were honored.
Joyce Mistovich, co-chair of the event, said it provides an opportunity to showcase various types of art.
“When we get to see the work, we’re so excited sometimes we just feel like we want to jump up and down and look at the show. But the most exciting part of it is at the end when it’s all put together, the sculptures, the two dimensional pieces, and we take a look at the entire Bliss hall gallery,” Mistovich said.
The exhibit runs through Jan. 30th The Gallery is open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
