SAT and TOEFL preparation classes begin
January 17th, 2017 | College Prep
This week marks the beginning of ASG’s SAT and TOEFL preparation classes. The SAT is a test used widely in the United States as part of the university application process to analyze a student’s reading, writing, and problem solving abilities. When combined with a student’s high school grade point average (GPA), the SAT gives an accurate assessment of the student’s readiness for university study. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is an additional examination required of most international students seeking to gain admission to an American university. This test is designed to measure a student’s aptitude with English as a second language, and their ability to undertake university study in this language. ASG’s SAT and TOEFL preparation courses are designed to provide our students with the training and experience necessary to excel on both important tests. Course content will include a review of the format of these exams and the way they are administered, as well as the expectations of students and sample test questions. ASG strongly encourages our students to participate in these courses, which are likely to significantly improve their test scores, increasing the chance of gaining admittance to the university of their choice. The next available TOEFL preparation class will begin in February, and the next SAT preparation class will be offered in March. Current ASG students should see their advisor to plan for upcoming tests and to enroll in a SAT or TOEFL preparation course.
