While they excel at academics, all of our partner high school’s in the Youngstown, Ohio area offer many opportunities to make friends, explore current and new interests, develop talents and practice skills, and strive for achievement outside of the classroom.

Scholarly Activities

Scholastically themed extracurricular activities give you a chance to explore your favorite subjects in depth or engage in friendly competition with students at other schools. They can include films, field trips, hands-on work, and other ways to learn and apply what you learn.

Fine & Performing Arts Activities

You can also find extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations at Ursuline related to fine and performing arts. Whether you have experience or natural talent, these activities help you build confidence and competence in expressing yourself—and they’re fun, too!

Student Publications

Ursuline also offers fun and learning experiences through their student publications, which help improve English skills, learn more about the school and students, and practice effective ways of presenting information to others.

Extra-curricular Opportunities

Extracurricular opportunities at American high schools are based on the values and resources of the school community and can take many forms. As long as there is a faculty member willing to act as an advisor, there can be any number of extracurricular possibilities.

Service Activities

Opportunities for being of service to the school community and the surrounding area are also available at Ursuline. There are also regular school wide service activities throughout the year that make an impact on the Youngstown area.

Leadership Activities

Students at Ursuline can take on leadership roles through any club, but there are many clubs that have leadership as their main focus. The willingness to serve through leadership is an impressive quality that can open many doors.

Athletic Activities

Athletic extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations often teach and reinforce cooperation, coordination, and commitment. Some emphasize persistence and skill. At Ursuline you can practice those things, make friends, and get lots of exercise with many sports
