Kennedy Catholic High School Celebrates International Week
March 21st, 2017 | School Events
From March 13th to the 17th, Kennedy Catholic High School hosted an International Week to foster knowledge and appreciation of various cultures from around the world. The highlight of this week was an international fair held on Friday the 17th which allowed Kennedy Catholic students to experience the food, language, and traditions of many nations. For this international fair, students were instructed to create displays to educate their peers on the culture and customs of a selected country. The most notable displays were those of Kennedy’s French and Spanish clubs, and of the numerous ASG students attending Kennedy Catholic who created displays on their home countries. Each of these displays included their national flags, as well as food, beverages, and photographs, providing a thoroughly engaging educational event. ASG student Stephen Subati said the international fair was very fun and that, “a lot of American kids got to learn about other cultures, and got to learn some Chinese words.” Kennedy Catholic High School should be commended for their efforts to develop cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
