Karaoke, Games, & Movies – ASG Korean Society
May 2016 | ASG Club Spotlight
The ASG Korean Society was established earlier this year by a group of Korean international students at ASG. The society was formed with the goal for students to share their own cultures and experiences with their fellow students. The society hosts monthly social events and gatherings, allowing all students to participate regardless of their background. The first big event held by the society was a movie night with karaoke. While munching snacks, members of the club watched The Veteran, a Korean film, with charades following the film. While the students enjoyed both activities, the memorable moment of the evening was when everyone sang songs. Ryan, James, and Edison wowed the crowd with their songs.
The second event was a game day at Trinity Hall held in May. The games included limbo, mini bowling, speed eating, and Pocky. Aide stunned his audience when he managed to limbo under a height of just 65 cm. In the speed eating game, John’s team won by a landslide when they finished their noodles in just 2 minutes and 38 seconds. Tom’s team then crushed the opposition in mini bowling with a score of 95. Ryan and Wonho worked together to win the game of Pocky, closing out the evening.
