Global Scholars enrolled in American Baccalaureate Leadership Program
September 8th, 2017 | Events
The first course in the inaugural offering of the American Baccalaureate Leadership program is underway at Thiel College in Greenville, PA. The program offers twelve credits, a certificate in leadership and a chance for students to demonstrate their capacity to work at a university level when applying to American universities.
Thursday night the ten students from ASG were treated to a dinner on campus and received their student identification card, granting them access to the library, fitness facilities, and other amenities at the historic liberal arts college located about a kilometer from ASG headquarters. American Scholar students have been in the course for a week and both they and the professor have had reported a positive experience. The course–which focuses on influential leaders from societies around the world–emphasizes readings and discussion, helping our students to become more proficient and gain confidence in their capacity to successfully participate in American higher education.
