Dedicated Students Commit to Health and Wellness
November 2015 | ASG Students
Balancing friends, schoolwork and family in different time-zones can be difficult for students studying abroad, and fitness may not be a priority. However, the ASG health and wellness initiative has encouraged students to become more active and aware of their choices. Two days a week for two hours each session, students have full access to Greenville High School’s professional fitness center. Mason Chang said he really enjoys going to the fitness center because he wants, “To become stronger and healthier.” Along with adding exercise into their lives, students are advised to add vegetables and fruits into their diets and limit the amount of fatty snacks they consume. Healthy eating habits with the addition of exercise allows for more productive lifestyles and increased happiness, essentials for busy, growing teenagers.
