American Scholar Group provides great opportunities for international students to attend high school in the United States through our Study in America Program.
Part of what makes the opportunity great are our student services: Residence Life, Dining, Academic, and Transportation.
This week, we continue exploring those services by taking a look at Dining.
American Scholar’s dining services top priority is providing the nutrition our students need to reach their full potential as they grow physically and academically. Proper diet and exercise is important for staying healthy and succeeding in the classroom. A solid meal can improve peoples’ moods and provide opportunities to socialize and relax.
ASG chefs provide a variety of meals for students, including American dishes as well as dishes from other countries. The goal is to acclimate students to how food is prepared and served in America, while also providing more familiar dishes. It’s a great way to expand ones palate and enjoy new dining experiences.
This is also good preparation for dining halls at U.S. universities, as students will better appreciate their dining choices. At American restaurants, students will have experience with how they prefer their dishes to be prepared.
Holiday time in countries around the world typically come with special dishes. As part of their cultural immersion in the United States, our students experience American holidays through decorations, parades, and special holiday meals.
We also celebrate major holidays from the cultures of our students’ countries like Mid-Autumn Festival. And that means traditional meals and desserts from those holidays, often with students lending a hand in the kitchen, such as making dumplings for Lunar New Year.
Delight your appetite at ASG.
