Two of American Scholar’s most talented musicians recently had the privilege of performing in the prestigious Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra’s season premier. On December 6, ASG students Carl Tang (Violin 1) and Ander Wang (Violin 2), both also members of the ASG music club, were able to showcase their exceptional musical talents at the Powers Auditorium in the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown. Some of the musical pieces which were performed include Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 4 in f: IV,” “Pavane for a Dead Princess” by Maurice Ravel, and Nickolai Korsakov’s “Russian Easter Overture, Op. 36.” The Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra is one of the highlights of the Youngstown art scene, and it is a special honor for ASG to have students involved with the organization. Congratulations Carl and Ander and good luck in all your future performances!
