ASG Students introduce 5th & 6th Graders to American High School
April 4th, 2017 | Student Spotlight
On Friday, March 31st, 5th and 6th grade students from across the Mahoning Valley attended Ursuline and Cardinal Mooney high schools for a fun-filled day of high school immersion activities. Assisted by student ambassadors, including ASG students Andrew Shao and Jeovana Zhang, the 5th and 6th graders were able to participate in a plethora of hands-on activities which introduced them to the increased academic rigor of Ursuline and Cardinal Mooney. The young students engaged in studying foreign languages, as well as the arts and sciences with activities including a study of crime scene forensics and dissecting organisms. Andrew Shao spent the day teaching art to the younger students, offering them instruction in sketching and drawing. The student ambassadors of Ursuline and Cardinal Mooney schools deserve praise for their efforts to guide the next generation of young scholars on the path to academic excellence. Thanks to the hard work of the staffs and student ambassadors at these two schools, the 5th and 6th graders had a fantastic time and are anxiously awaiting their own high school experiences!
