ASG Celebrates the Moon During the Mid-Autumn Festival
October 6th, 2017 | Events
ASG students attended a party arranged by the Chinese Society Wednesday night to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival, a.k.a. the Mooncake Festival, is one of the most important traditional Chinese Holidays and is a time when families father to eat moon-cakes and enjoy the beauty of the moon. The party had a big turn-out and club leaders gave a presentation on the history of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its different traditions. The Game Club provided additional fun for the students in attendance, as students competed in Golf Ball Toss, Corn Hole, Ping Pong Blow, and Bowling. After earning points in those games, students had one last chance to outscore their friends in a single-leg hopping contest. Congratulations to those who scored the most the points in the gaming contest, Tom Lin and Aries Zhang, and to all who participated and had a great time!
