ASG Appoints New President and Welcomes New Team Members

The American Scholar Group (ASG) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Cecelia Yauger to the position of Company President beginning September, 2016!
Mrs. Cecelia Yauger joined ASG a year ago as Dean of Academic & Strategic Planning, before quickly rising to the position of chief operating officer. Throughout this period, Mrs. Yauger has been instrumental in supporting our organization’s growth and strengthening ASG student support services across multiple divisions. In her new role, Mrs. Yauger will oversee all organization strategic planning, school relations, and continue leading all student support services.
A former administrator and teacher, Mrs. Yauger has over 35 years of teaching and administrative experience serving in the U.S. Education system. She taught elementary education, special education and has served as a special education supervisor, director, and the head administrator for a variety of school districts in western Pennsylvania. She has also provided consultation services in special education, curriculum development, educational leadership and strategic planning.
Mrs. Yauger graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1979 with a Bachelors of Science in Education, majoring in Elementary Education & Special Education. In 1985, she received a Masters in Education from Slippery Rock and completed the Letter of Eligibility Program at Westminster College in 1999. She has also held professional affiliations with the Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA), American Association of School Administrators (AASA), and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

David Stump Ph.D
Academic Administrator – American Baccalaureate
Dr. David Stump is an Academic Manager who facilitates the development of educational projects for American Baccalaureate programs. He also assists with advising and tutoring ASG students. Dr. Stump earned his Bachelor¹s degree in Sociology & Anthropology from West Virginia University and his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh. He has taught anthropology and anatomy-related subjects at a number of colleges and universities, including course development for traditional and online Instruction.
Sandy Philbrick
Manager – Academics & Student Engagement
Sandy Philbrick tracks and monitors student academic progress at ASG. She also leads a number of projects to advance student welfare and engagement. Ms. Philbrick has over 20 years of experience in the field of secondary education. Before joining ASG, she supported K-6 grade students at Jamestown Elementary Schools as an instructional aid paraprofessional.
Roselyn Ramsey
Manager – Human Resources
Roselyn Ramsey is a performance-driven professional with twenty years of senior leadership experience in business and human resource management. She previously worked as a Human Resource Director and Consultant for several organizations in the retail, manufacturing, health care and public accounting fields. At ASG, she manages all projects in human resources and staff welfare.
Ms. Ramsey graduated from Thiel College with an Associate’s Degree then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management from Franklin University followed by a Master’s in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. She is also SHRM-SCP certified.
