ASG Experiences Bull Ride Mania

On Saturday March 4th, ASG students will have the opportunity to experience an American Rodeo, a quintessential form of entertainment in the rural regions of the country. A rodeo is a form of competitive sporting competition which tests the working skills involved in cattle herding and livestock management. This form of entertainment grew out of competitions among Mexican Vaqueros and American Cowboys who, during the 19th century, drove large herds of cattle thousands of miles to market. Some of the skills included in rodeo competitions are bronco and bull riding, bull roping and wrestling, and barrel racing. This event will provide an exceptional cultural immersion activity that provides a view of American culture that one will not find in the large cities.
