It is officially the beginning of October and with that, the Halloween Season. What better way to get into the spirit of Halloween than to start watching some spooky movies. Here is a list of 13 movies that are sure to get you into the Halloween Mood.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a British-American musical directed by Jim Sharman screwball comedy horror film in which a newly engaged couple’s car breaks down in a remote location. They are forced to seek help from the nearest resident who just happens to be throwing a party, the bizarre Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Ghostbusters is an American supernatural comedy film directed by Ivan Reitman where Three former professors and a common man start up a new ghost removal service. It doesn’t take long before they get overwhelmed. Make sure to check out the 2016 reboot with an all-female cast!
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is an American stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy film directed by Henry Selick in which the King of Halloween town discovers Christmas Town. After experiencing the magic in this new land, he tries to bring Christmas to his home, which causes confusion.
Halloweentown is a Disney Channel Original Movie directed by Duwayne Dunham about a girl who learns she is a witch. After her grandmother is captured, she is forced to save the town, full of other supernatural creatures, that her family is originally from after a great evil tries to take over.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is a British-American fantasy film directed by Chris Columbus adapted from the book of the same name written by JK Rowling. After a young boy with a great destiny is told he is a wizard, his first year attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry proves to be more dangerous than he ever imagined.
